Placing the Flags on La Canada

Pearl Harbor Day - December 7, 2011

On December 7, 2011 the Green Valley Elks Lodge #2592 placed 46 American Flags along the west side of La Canada Blvd at dawn and then took them down before dusk. This is a tradition for Green Valley Elks Lodge to perform every year on Pearl Harbor Day. Elk members that helped with the flags were Joe Gunson (driver of the truck), Cheryl Ponzo, Carol Sturdevant, Jack Ponzo, Frank Sturdevant, Susan Trecartin and Mario Potenzieri.
